OK, C J, Enough About Sports
It just had to happen. And, in a strange sort of way, it even helps to make the point. All over the world people gather together because of what animates, excites, and unites them. Just look at the World Cup, Super Bowl, and Olympic crowds -- rock concerts, political rallies, and movie openings. But we are together for the Gospel. Which is the ultimate point, after all. And it's a really good thing in so many ways. If we were coming together about sports, I'd be left out. C J would be in, but in his current state of limping, it would be more theoretical than physical. Together for the Gospel, C J, in the church of Christ where we all love by God's grace. Proud to be limping with you, my faithful friend.

Al, sports is all I've got in this group! You, Mark and Lig are 3 of the smartest guys I know. All I have is a high school diploma and even that should be investigated. And speaking of sports one of my goals is to somehow direct your world class discernment to the world of sports where it is desperately needed. But I have much work to do as was evident upon hearing your radio show about the WNBA or as you like to call it the BNWA.
My friend, it has been yet another week when I find myself thanking God for the unique gift you are to Sovereign Grace Ministries and the entire church. You did an OUTSTANDING job on the Larry King show. How inspiring to observe and hear, not the stereotypical "conservative cultural critic," but a humble, wise steward of the gospel. I am so grateful for the way you represent us in these settings. And your commentary on the movie "The End of the Spear" was typically brilliant - - especially the final paragraph.
